Christina Altmayer, the Commission’s Executive Director, was interviewed by Richard Franzi on the Critical Mass for Business radio show on December 8. In addition to providing information about the Commission, the focus of the interview was on the 2015 Orange County Community Indicators Report. Christina discussed the partnerships that come together to create the report and the demographic trends on aging, child health, and educational outcomes.
The reporter was interested in three specific areas of concern: housing insecurity, children’s health issues in low income families, and the opportunity gap of educational attainment and long-term success in employment. Christina responded from the lens of early education and the importance of investing in children early for later success.
